Paraguay stunned Germany in the 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on 29 June 2026, winning 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw - the first shootout Germany have ever lost at a World Cup.
Julio Enciso 42' (Paraguay); Kai Havertz 54' (Germany). Paraguay won 4-3 on penalties.
